Graham Nash (b.1942) is a legendary, Grammy-award winning, singer-songwriter from England who was a part of both The Hollies and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. While pursuing his music career with considerably success throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s with songs about social and political culture of the time resonating deeply with their generation, Nash also built a successful career as a photographer, with the establishment of Nash Editions.
Nash’ photographs reveal his keen skill as a multi-faceted visual artist. The images document experiences and people from his everyday life, intimate, telling portraits of family and friends, as well as his own reflective self-portraits. The perceptive and lyrical images exemplify the discerning sensibilities needed for recognition as a photographer. Nash was integral in the early development of fine art digital printing, for which he has been recognized by the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History.
Graham Nash was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his work in CSNY in 1997, and for his work in The Hollies in 2010. Nash has continued in the music industry with a solo career, and remains heavily involved in political activism. His photography has been exhibited internationally.
